Most kids don’t ask for donations in lieu of presents for their 9th birthday, but Ethan Katz is an exception. Ethan is a dog lover at heart and his birthday wish was to save the lives of shelter dogs.
With the help of his mother, Lisa Pezzoli Katz, Ethan designed and sold t-shirts to raise money for City Dog Rescue, a local non-profit organization that rescues dogs from kill shelters. Ethan’s original goal was to sell 70 shirts, but ended up selling almost 200! The proceeds from Ethan’s shirts were enough to save the lives of 10 dogs. Way to go, Ethan!
